Title: Tank top cooker
Post by: Iceassin on Dec 07, 2011, 06:29 PM
Usually I can make something out of anything but struggling with this one.

I want to mount a removable (so when the tank runs empty) shelf/grate/rack on a 20# tank that would allow me to cook in front of my sunflower heater. I guess it could even be above the heater for that matter. Anybody done it? Pics would be good also...thanx.

Just get the sunflower heater with the rack that sits upright for heat and down for cooking.

Thanks Fisherman 1...I already have one of those . I use it in my flip-over...works great. Want something I can use in my perma-fold, and I think I figured it out right after I posted this ::)

Gonna take a tomato cage and bend the legs at 90* angles so it's the same heighth as the heater. Then secure the bent "feet' on some 2X2's for a base. Then place one of my wifes pie tins in the top of the cage to hold a pan,can or whatever I need to heat up (if she'll let me  ;) )
