My Homemade $20 Steerable Sled...AKA The Smitty Sled

Picked up some skis this morning, & spent a couple hours in the shop to come up with this steerable sled. overall length is right at 6'. Hope I inspired you to get ideas.
Update.....I bent some vinyl flooring I had for the back ski tips. I will also add a piece of flat bar for pivot tongue for more ground clearance. Thanks for the comments.

This one does not, but it could be modified so it could come apart.

I assume there will be weight on the front end to help with the steering.  Maybe mount milk crates?

One issue that "might" occur, is the steering skis could develop a mind of their own going downhill.

Keep a hold of the rope........and shorten the rope grip if that makes sense or walk behind it down hill with rope in hands to steer it
