I can already see the negative feedback about the flag freezing to the riser.
Also that stick built pattern wouldn't make more than a trip or two as rough as i am on my gear..
I'll pass on these.

There has been a previous thread with freeze up concerns:

Thank you for your input. Some of the original tipups I made 25 yrs ago have froze up because some of the oil got absorbed into the wood which let water into the chamber and would  freeze, the fix was to add some grease which fixed the problem. The plastic traps will not absorb the grease.  We also sell the grease for the wood  ones if it needs it.. I have ice fished for over 50 years and used many different makes and types of ice fishing tipups and under the right conditions have found that all ice fishing traps will freeze including ours. Tipnspin tipups are a unique tipup, they are filled with a food grade grease mixture that will not pollute our waters and makes them freeze resistant.

I was referring to the flag freezing to the riser before the tipup trips. It happens on the cheaper ones & the flag is no where near that close to the frame.

I have never had that happen and never had any complaints about that. I sold 5000 of them 25 years ago.

I like the looks of them but how is $75 more affordab le. Both Beaver dam and Heratige lakers are much less and just as good!

$75??!!  Whoa!!   :o  Seriously, merchandise needs to be in a comparable price market as other items that are like it out there, or you'll just price yerself right OUT of the market. Sales 101. I know that from my experience inventing and selling my Minnow Magic's.

I thought the same thing when I looked at them. I understand development and tooling costs are high but if this has to be the price I wonder about the thought process in even bringing the product to market. Good luck.

The price of the black plastic tipnspin tipups are $40. ea. The ash lumber tipnspin tipups are $75. They are much more labor intensive to build.
