Do you guys generally see better success using automatic hook setters or tip us for pike?

i only use tip ups for pike.  mainly because of the big live baits.  im sure the "steelie slammer" type setters would be great for dead baits and hot dogs though.
real fishermen don't ask "where you catch those"

I use Jaw jackers with great success. I've been seeing a whole lot of pike picking up bait of the bottom lately, so I I let the bait fall and then leave a little bit of slack with the jaw jacker. The Pike pick it up, take a few chimps and then leave with it, and that's when the jackers hits them. Works out great.
