You're not using the perch patrol?  ;)  Or are you using one of Woodland's fishing packages?  They'll hook you up.
Flags up, gentlemen!!!

Woodland Package for 6-8 guys.  Three days and some of us might know how to fish.

It is a huge lake. There is a bait shop at the resort and they should give you some up to date info if you ask. Perch can be tough to find but if you do they are a bucket list catch. Walleye are probably easier to find if you're more worried about making sure you get some fish.

Buckshot rattle spoons are usually a go to for most. Firetiger or perch patterns are popular. Minnows and wax worms are the main bait.

Good luck!

woodland will put you in their shacks that are supposedly on the best spots near the resort.   Beware and move to another if no fish are present.  We sat in one of their shacks a few years ago for a day with 2 cameras running and never saw a fish! we moved to a shack that was in much deeper water and caught a lot of fish.  In the past they have employed a fish scout that drives around and looks for fish, talk to him if possible.   good luck.

I am from here and home town hospitality is key, these people are not wizards so they can't say a magic spell and make fish appear. Please tip if you can and always be kind regardless of the person you are dealing with is a little less friendly than you would like how you deal with the situation will only make your adventure that much more terrible. Get up early go have a cup of coffee check out Facebook talk to the guys directly that are looking for fish. If you don't catch or mark anything during a certain among of time move or asked to be moved. That is key to looking for perch especially when there is a cold front coming through is to move continously. Good luck

The wife and I went out there last year over New Years, first day was with Perch Patrol and we did really well on Stump Lake, day 2 we were in one of the houses thru Woodland. We had consistent walleye action from 7AM (still dark) to about 10 or 10:30, then very slow until about 3PM, then consistent action until we went in at about 5:30. The rattling spoons (buckshot and VMC) in 1/16 and 1/8oz worked well with firetiger, perch and glow red colors and gold color 1/8oz slender spoons worked well too. During the slow period we set out tip ups away from the house in deeper water and got a few flags, all northern, too bad the tip ups were rigged for walleyes, only got 1 out of the hole. We also had a dead stick rod in the house with some type of glow jig tipped with a minnow soaking under slip bobber. We had good action on that too
