What's the thickest ice you've drilled through.....

.....in SD/ND?

I have only been ice fishing for about 5 or 6 years but the thickest I can remember was probably around 22-24" and that was in the Lake Thompson area, (81 ponds I think) it was a few years ago.   I know that I have never needed an extension on my auger as of yet....maybe someday....who knows.....probably not this year.  What about you other SD/ND fellas?

I've drilled through about 28-30" on Waubay before.  Nothing like Lake of the Woods, where several feet are not uncommon, but still quite a bit of ice.

I could swear I remember 34"+ on lake Sakajawea (SPELLING?) growing up- that would be at least 14 years aog or so....

Not enough ice or time... not necessarily in that order.

Christina, up in the wind rivers of wyoming. I have an 11 extension that goes on my 30 jiffy and I have bottomed it out up there. So I am guessing over 40" of ice.
