Bozeman,Manhattan,Norris, and Townsend had seen few if any snow flakes yesterday while we were getting dumped on.  Our State department didnt even plow the Norris Hill this morning and had some severe wrecks on it.......you usually plow the roads when there is 8" of snow and snow drifts on the road or you close the road but guess they havent figured that out over the last 10years.

Yeah same thing here. I used to plow snow for the state a fews years back and never could figure out why i didn't get the call to go out when it was snowing like crazy outside. I guess its going to be bad until Monday from the sounds of things.

20+ inches of snow in harrison and 30+ in Pony last night but it snowed hard up there all night.  Ice along lake edge this morning and temps in the low 20's yesterday and today......Gonna have to get a sled so I can make it up to Cataract Reservoir for brookies.  Here comes the Season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah got your message about Georgetown. Long ways to drive for Kokes. Ice forming in the bays here at Palisades as well. Heard Lander WY got 30+ inches last night. Can't sleep at night. It needs to get here fast!

My brother works in Sheridan, WY and didnt come home bird hunting cause of the storm.  It was supposed to hit between Billings and the border pretty hard but I havent talked to him since friday.  Went out wheeling with my friend from pony last night and found snow over the hood and didnt get stuck only due to speed :).

Yeah It's melting and drifting down here in the valley now :(  Harrison Lake has got some ice forming around the edges due to the wind chill but it probably wont hold on for long.  Temps are supposed to climb this week into the 40's and 50's range but the cold snap cooled down the higher mountain lakes and hopefully the ice will start forming by mid november.  Im definitely trying to buy a sled now so I can make it to where the first ice will be.  Team MT might be the first ones on the ice this year not counting the canadians or alaskans :)

You didn't get anything with this last storm???????
We got a few inches (5?) in Helena, and a few feet around us in the mountains.  I Heard one range close by got close to 5 feet!

Nope we didn't even see a flake and the mountains on this side didn't get anything either.  Y'all got the system from the south and it never made it this far north, it was just Clear Blue Skies, windy and COLD!!!  It was 22 and blowing about 30 on Friday Night!!

looking at the map on the general forum, looks like we lucked out and got nailed in the middle of that storm, that RARELY happens, usually everything misses us to the north or south.

Nobody expected anything over 6" here because the storms go around over right over us and tend to hit bozeman hard while we get nothing but not this time.  All my friends in Bozo didnt believe me that there was that much snow out here until I sent them the pics.

Sat. I was hunting south of Columbus, {West Rosebud}. I was walking through waist deep snow. Sun. we couldn't even get up the mountain. The snow was up over the hood of my Sonoma. I would normaly have picts. but my wife was in Minn. at a wedding.
