The Snake River inlet to Dillon Res is usually ready by Thanksgiving, if not a little before.  That's one of the very first usually.  Taryall by early December.  Antero maybe by Dec 7 or so.  Lake John early to mid December.

I've never done well on pike through the ice, but I haven't ice fished for them that much either.  I know some folks who catch some through the ice, but it's never big numbers.  We do have some big pike in Colorado, though!

The Grand Mesa freezes early and offers good fishing for brooktrout.
