Post by: hays47 on Aug 29, 2019, 12:00 PM
The ultimate kit priced out at almost 3K. That gets you a nine inch  echomap  +and the lvs32. Got the info off of email sent to me by Garmin.

I’ll be hoping to snag one off the “paying it forward” thread...in 20 years.

Rather you can afford it or not the price for that thing is ridiculous. I think its a good tool for a guide or someone making money off of ice-fishing but the average ice-fisherman a flasher is all you will need to have a great time and catch some fish. Buy a flasher and invest the rest in to retirement, when did i start sounding like my father lol.

The current life scope has a 15 degree angle in the mount, I wonder if they fixed the offset for the ice fishing package. I fixed mine by using a piece of PVC as a shim, but wouldn't mind a true 90-degree mount.

A zero off-set mount is listed in the accessories, so I'm guessing it will come with the kit.

Agree with the expensive arguments. But at 71 years of age never thought I would see 70K pickup trucks and 100K bassboats. The first house I bought back in 1973.
108 dollars a month principle , property tax ,interest and insurance. No castle for sure but no shack either. Now 108 doesn't even cover my property tax on my paid off house I own now. Even with my senior citizen discount.

Glad to see they kept the price high, hate when companies screw over early adopters.
