Great job. The Mile will draw you in like that, only to humble you some days. You did great! And look at that great weather. Only in Colorado.

Nice fish!

Sounds like a good time on the Mile. I'm going on Tuesday, hope she is generous!
Fishin' is better with a Malty Beverage!

Because I live 15 miles from there I try to ice it as much as I can. Be willing to change colors or use different lures throughout the day. Just because something worked that morning or
yesterday doesn't mean it will work the next day or during the same day later on. The sun is intense there, and there is little snow cover left, so with increased visibility it takes a little more
finesse to catch the bigger trout. They tend to mouth it and if you are able to sight fish you have a better chance of setting the hook, because they'll instantly spit it out if it doesn't feel right. Depending upon where you fish, even moving ten feet to drill and set up can make a big difference. Good luck and tight lines.

Congrats on the nice day up at the Mile! I just moved to Colorado Springs and look forward to making my treck up there. I've seen videos and pictures of some great looking trout and pike. I hope I can have some luck my 1st time, I hear the lake can be a tough not to crack! Especially for a CO newbie.
