Fake bait .... Does it work??
« on: Dec 16, 2005, 05:47 PM »
Any of you guys use the fake plastic that looks like beemoth? I bought a couple packs of them to throw in my ice bag just in case I ever run out while I'm on the ice. I haven't use any yet and was curious if any of you had any luck with them.

I have never used them, but I would keep them in your pack for you intended purpose, in case you run out.  Nothing beats live bait.

I have used the Berkley power ones that look like b-moths in the spring for gills and crappies.  They worked well in that situation.  I would think they would do if you didn't have any live bait.  TIght Lines and Screamin Drags to Ya!!!!

they are great when your in a pinch i use them often to fill up my hook they last a long time that way i only have to put on 1 spike or beemoth when the gills are wantin two, plus some of the bright colors seem to grab attention
