North Crow 2/28
« on: Feb 28, 2007, 08:11 PM »
Went to north crow for a couple of hours today.  Caught a bunch of the usual 10-12 inch rainbows, one 14 inch grayling, 1 sucker which we cut up and used for bait and caught a 18 inch splake on a tip-up.  He was hooked pretty deep so we kept him.  The crazyiest this was he had 14 crawdads in his belly.  Ive never seen a fish so stuffed.  Its weird with all that feed that the bos dont get very big.

BigZee, have you heard anything on how the fishing is at Granite or Crystal? I was thinking of trying there but had not heard anything from there in quite awhile. Thanks

Sportsman,
I havent been to Granite for a couple of months and i didnt even give crystal a try this year.  Usually you can catch bunches of stockers on power bait or mealworms.  The only thing is that they are the uglyest stockers around.  Most of them are deformed in some way or another, thats why we havent fished there this year.  You do have a chance of catching a decent brown.  We caught two early this year.  But as far as fishing latley im not sure.

BigZee- Which lake do you have a better chance of catching a nice brown out of granite or crystal? We may hit one of them tomorrow. Thanks
