Any bets on the winter this year?

It' a great time to study up on the coming ice season. NOAA has some info. I found this not so scientific comment:" I've looked at wooly-worms and acorn trees to make my own forecast - which is winter will be cold with occasional snow, lots of wind and a long time in leaving". 

How's that, I use the height of the ant hills myself.
