Drove by A Bay tonight and there was no shacks left. That means its coming to an end, so sad.

It's coming to an end but it's not there yet.  This year might transition well right into salmon seamlessly.  Ice fish Easter Sunday, and get salmon on fools day!

definitely having a small cold snap which should make the conditions much better. heading out tomorrow but im hoping for one more time next weekend and then breaking out the ultra-light for some trout!
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

A friend and I fished alton bay this morning.  Not too much activity, only 1 other person in the bay.  The launch was easily passable however as much ice as there are in some spots others are deterorating quickly.  We had mostly 18" but found a scary pressure ridge on both sides of what I assumed was the airplane strip.  3" of ice on top and then a foot deep open water cavern then another 3".  Would certainly hate to step on that next week when it looks safe!

??? ??? I always thought that bob houses were a social event less than an ice fishing place?   Assuming I can still sit on the ice or set up my temporary shanty I don't see why I can't enjoy the next two weeks of below freezing weather.

Meredith Bay, Center Harbor and Moultonborough Bay are also devoid of any shanties.

That means if you can get out on the ice, you;ll have it all to yourself!

I think i need the other people out there, i was out in Alton(not the bay) Saturday and got skunked. Yes it does happen on Winni, but for me it hadnt happened much this year. Oh well i enjoy every day in the ice!
