hey guys I got the Marcum lx7 at the beginning of this hard water fishing season and I haven't been able to get a read on anything with it...I can see my jig drop but never any fish.  are there any settings that I'm just not doing or am I just never over any fish...ever - thanks

if you see bait and bottom and no fish, then there are no fish is all.

Using sonar, vertical or flasher?  Maybe not working, I'll give you$400 for it to take it off your hands;)  agree with 3300, no fish showing up...

If you're fishing relatively shallow <10 ft. and using the 8 degree cone angle, you won't see fish unless they're directly underneath the hole.  Just a thought.

Are you catching any fish?  I see every fish I catch before they bite (fishing with a jig).

if you can see you jig then there's no reason you wouldn't see a fish. lots of info in your lx7 manual or here on ice shanty on different set ups people use. there's more to these digitals than turning on the the power button. most times they need to be tweaked a little depending on your fishing situations. good luck.
