Not yet. I'll swing into Big Bear tonight on the way home. Over the weekend I'll check with Ted's Bait and see what he has. I'll post as soon as I have any info. 20 when I left the house this morning skim is coming up on the lake right off the front lawn.

Missed Big Bear last night but will hit it tonight. (plans kinda changed last minute) I'll see what Ray done at Ted's bait has over the weekend.

Ted's is on Reservoir Rd just west of the Chepachet rotary on rte 44. Ray runs the place, he's pretty old and hard of hearing. You need to pound on the wall between the door and the window on the house to get his attention. I try to buy my Bait there when I can as he's a nice old guy. He doesn't always hear cars pull in.

I remember reading stories of him on here about him counting bait or something and not interrupting him or he is not a happy camper. Out of my way but thanks for pinpointing his location!

Mike, you should be able to confirm this: is Dick's on Smithfield Ave. permanently closed? I haven't checked with Dave at Ocean State. I know last year Continental in Cranston stayed open through the winter and had live bait. They had customers who'd fish the Blackstone for northerns throughout the winter.

I will double check to confirm for you. I have been in the woods the past 3 months or so, so I am unsure.

Here's the skinny on my local shops. Big Bear is in the process of renovating the shop. They are expanding into the new open side.The bait tank is drained but can be set up. What is the bait you most use? He'll get it set up for bait if we can give him what we want it will help to drive the right bait. Just post it under this thread. I'm checking on Teds between today and tomorrow. 15 at Bowdish this a.m.

Hope valley bait has shiners always they open 8 am to 6 pm invest in a $5 aquarium pump piiick them up the night before and never wait at the front door agin no hate guys just saying

He is open I talked to him this morning. I was told 5am-3pm but my experience has been 5:30ish - 2ish. This is why I have my own tank, the only person I have to wait for is me.
