Hows Black Lake look,fellow ice fishermen

Getting real ichty to get out on the ice,hoping to get up to black lake in a week. Heading to southern tier small mountain ponds this weakend.

As of Monday 12/21/08 There was 5 Inches on most bays and funnels.  However, we had heavy snow(insulate) then  warm spell, wind, rain, and now it's down to 15 degrees as of 0800 on 12/26/08...so hopefully that reduced the snow insulate, got rid of the crap ice, and hopefully we'll start fresh, but I would imagine you may have to wait awhile longer

Check out the New York Fishing Reports And Conditions board.  Lots of info there and it's where several locals post conditions.
pondskipper - you might need to post a few more times before you can into those conditions threads.  Just get er done and enjoy the info there.
