I hate to give up, but my 16' 2x6's to safe ice got pulled this morning. My Striker float suit is getting the liners pulled. Lantern has some seafoam in it, spud is in the shed, shanty is on it's platform, I'm Done. Still boiling maple sap, so I still have a project. Best year for sugaring in a long time..A couple weeks and maybe the row boat!! A great season..

Yeah I'm done here in Washington. A few days ago my buddy fell through the ice up to his armpits near the shore. He was fine and able to get out easily but I am done. I have been going through all my fishing gear and getting things ready for open water. It was a great season, I hit the ice 74 days and caught a couple thousand fish. I am excited to get out in the boat but am also already looking forward to next winter.

Im done, ice fishing thst is. But that just means its time to get the bass rods restrung, tie a few new bass jigs. Buy more rage craws. Oh paint and seal my aluminum boat. Bass seasons my favorite though

Today will be my last day. Headed out after work to fish all day. Four months of ice fishing this season!

NO WAY!!!!! Still have 24" of ice in the Colorado high country and I'll be wearing it out for the foreseeable future.

We still have a lot of ice here in NY but the shore ice is going away fast with these warm days so my gear is put away. Trout season opened on the first so I have something else to do now. Been a great winter.

We have 34 plus inches of good solid ice here yet, 6 to 12" of snow coming tomorrow night into Friday. Should have a couple weeks at least.

I'm done. This is the crummy time of year when the ice is not safe but there is still too much ice to get the boat out. I'm ready for spring.

We probably have a couple weeks left. Got a snow storm bringing 5-10in so that water on top won't help matters much. Ice is still in that 20" range but its rather soft now.

As long as I can safely access the ice from shore (maybe with the help of a small plank) I'll be out there.
Of course that means I'm usually heading north.

I will be breaking out the kayak soon for some open water fishing.

Ice fishing is just getting good here. Had 28" ice Sunday and now the snow has gone down enough we are finally able to drive out again. Bottom 18" hard clear ice. Crappies are hitting like gang busters.

Drove to the mississippi back waters440 miles round trip to chase last ice, last weekend. Poor fishing, but I managed two bigperch, plus some smaller ones. Put the ice gear away Sunday.

im done packed my gear away last week and made it hard to get to so I wouldn't be tempted to get it back out..haha. ive been dragging the boat down the road to the river after some steelies this week.morel mushrooms after that.then its on for some catfishing.

I want to get out one more time before it's too late. The ice is good, but the shorelines are not. The river is too high & muddy. Unfortunately my work is gona get hectic now and I won't have much time to fish anyway. Good luck to all on open water.

3' up to lake cadillac and mitchell, but not worth the gas for 170 miles when open river water is so close

finished the season april 2nd with enough ice to still go but enough bad ice spots to get me to put it away for another season. Mailed the nils head out for resharpening before I could change my mind.

April 6 was my last day. Wish it weren't so but I had an awesome time this winter. Got to fish with a bunch of new people, and also introduce a bunch more to the sport. Explored a ton of new lakes, caught lots of beautiful fish, and enjoyed more fish for dinner than I have ever had in my life. Looking forward to next year. Stay safe until then

March 30th was officially my last day this season...was really hoping to get out a few more times, but work schedule just wouldn't allow it. It was a good long ice season!

It's just getting good up North.. Long daylight hours, "warmer" weather and tones of ice.. Drove 40 KMs by skidoo yesterday to a lake that has about 5 feet of ice.. We've got a couple months left of ice fishing for sure!!!!
