I'll try to actually remember to bring the card fishing this year... I don't recall ever entering a fish and I've joined 4 years now

Booked 5 weeks holidays between Jan 15 and Mar 30th, it is going to be a good year.

i am off for about that long to, lol. i usually fish out of fourth line area. and head out to whitey grounds from there

I might have entered one or two into the weekly drawings but just never took the card out

i'm in and hopefully get get out a bit more than last year...

i was thinkin about gettin some lads from school here gettin out on Simcoe and hammerin some big'uns and lightin up the tourney with top quality ontario fish and who knows maybe we could make it a G2G for the board?

You know what... we should be able to do very well this year with the ice we have compared to others.

I am going to start a IS Ontario angler of the year that will run along the same dates as the online tournament. Just something fun.

Here are the rules as posted by LoneWolf

'' Rules

1) You must be signed up by the deadline.

2) You are allowed to upgrade entries. Once the entry is upgraded the previous entry is not eligible for awards
or prizes.

3) You must print a copy of the TI 2009 card which will be available on 12-31-08.

4) Two photos will be required per entry (of at least 450 pixels)
a.) Photo 1: The entry fish must be photographed with the entire rule (measuring device) clearly and readable in the picture as well as the TI 2009 card while still out on the ice. No part of the fish should be on the rule. Only yellow push/pull rules will be allowed.
Only the entry fish - No multiple fish in the photo.
b.) Photo 2: This photo must have the angler and fish together while still out on the ice with the lake (ice) in the background.
If the pic is taken at night kneel and take the pic at a downward angle so as to include the ice.

All entries must be fresh caught fish .. not frozen or gutted.

5) The photo must be posted (no snail mail) within the tournament dates/times by the entrant.

6) The entry is length only - not girth or weight.

7) a.)The length is "as the fish lays" - not by squeezing the tail. The entry is measured from the furthest point to
the rear (tail) and front (lip). No open jaw .. if open measured from shortest point at head.(usually upper lip).
b.)Only post entries that are within 2" of the leaders board. Any " short " entries can be posted in the "short" entries area to qualify for the weekly drawing.

*No incidental catches or out of season entries will be honored. This is to prevent their targeting for the tourney*

Entries must remain posted for the duration of tourney.

In the event of a tie the first entry entered will be honored.

Trophy Entries
Entries meeting the Trophy requirements will go into a separate drawing. Only entries posted or have been posted in the entries area are eligible. Entries in the non entry area are not elegible.
The entrants name will go into the drawing once and only one prize per entrant.

Decisions/Results will be posted by and on the Team IceShanty site.
