Title: Good last 2 days of the year

Good last 2 mornings on the ice this season.  Fished with Fishking83, Blueultra2 and springbobber Saturday and brought home 42 between Blue, spring and I.  Mostly gills but a few crappies mixed in.  Fish were all caught on tungsten in 12 to 19 fow.

Today, fishking83, springbobber and I went back and the Gills were on fire.  Size was great too.  Spring and stopped at 60 and fishking had another 25 before we called it a morning.  Left them biting, but had all we wanted to clean.  Same thing as Saturday, tungsten jigs in 12 to 19 fow, with the good fish suspended and swimming up 4 ft to bite.

Good job wax!  You didn't miss anything over on Spear.  Bite was on fire Friday but the fish were average, did manage some 9" reds.  Bite was slower Saturday and fish seem to shrink.  I think there was just too much pressure at the ramp where we were fishing and I didn't want to venture around on that ice much.

Those lakes get way to much pressure for their size and the fish get smart there...that is one reason I don't fish them.  I like fishing lakes at least a couple hundred acres.  It is harder to find the fish but when you do they are less pressured and seem more willing to bite most of the time.  The bite was just stupid yesterday on the sea.  If we would have stayed past noon, we probably could have caught 50 to 60 nice ones each.

Like to get over there and fish it next year if the ice gets really good.  Not as easy to get on as it use to be you know.  Caught some really nice fish on Sylvan this year, some pig reds.  Never really got into a bunch of crappie but spent a lot of time in shallow water.  Looking forward to wading for some eyes and catching some crappie from the boat.  Going to try and get some northern soon too.

Waxy, fishking, blueultra, springbobber,  great way to end the season.  Hopefully I will be able to get out a few times next season.

Good you guys got into them. Nice quality fish!
