Packing it in.
« on: Feb 16, 2006, 06:55 PM »
Well it doesn't look like the ice fishing is going to happen again this year. Here in the Fingerlakes region we had some early ice and got to fish. But now the sun is getting really warm and unless we got some really cold streak we won't make any good ice here. So out comes the boat and away goes the sled.Anybody else packing it in?
When the ice is on. I'm on the ice.

Where are you from???? There is good ice here and more to come. Go North young man, and be free to fish the hard water.

If it looks like it's going to get cold and stay cold I may reconsider....it's not like I'm really packing anything in because my icefishing crap is always in the basement,.......

Well...I say I'm packing it in...but the moment we have safe ice I would be on the phone calling in sick....I'm just discouraged because everytime it starts to get cold it just warms back up...everybody I work with keeps saying how "great" the weather is......idiots

I’m packing it in. but I don’t think the ice season is done yet. I think we are in for a long cold spell and March can get pretty nasty around here. I know this winter is not going to give up. I’m sick of ice and its time to get the boat ready.

Crap?  LOL!

My crap is always in my truck, from the time I deliver my boat to storage, until the time I pick it up.  The past two years my seasons have overlapped, at both ends.   ;D

I have all of next week off, and plan to hit the ice a majority of those days.
