What brand of fish finder do you use and why do you use it? ( Marcum Vs.Vexilar Vs. Showdown Vs. Lowrance Vs. Humminbird )
This thread isn't to see which is better but rather what is more poplar....

Marcum VX-1! Originally because of the price, then specs. After using it, its just been a great flasher!

had a vex fl-20 that worked well for me ,sold it and bought marcum lx-5, i think they are both good flashers

My own brain

i don't use either simply because ive lived on and fished the same 4 lakes since i was 4 so i got a pretty good idea of where to be and what time to be there without needing a flasher/sonar so it wouldnt be worth the $$. if i were to fish a new lake tho a flasher or fish finder would be an awesome tool to have....maybe ill get one for xmas

Dont pin us flasher users down on those who dont know there lakes or how to find fish, a flasher is more then that as it allows you to see and gage the fishes responce or reaction to your technique...it;s not all about finding fish, so even on a lake you know well you may see you are missing some fish you did not even know where there

Vex - FL18. My buddy has a lowrance x67 and they both do the job.

Very true...first time i fished with a buddy for whitefish who had an aqua-vue, i was convinced there was no fish in the area after fishing all morning without a bite...he put it down and they were just sitting there looking at the bait.

Gotta go with Vex. Vex has been around a long time and makes a quality product. Since Marcum was purchased by Nature Vision, it has turned me off to a Marcum product. The jigging tip up by Nature Vision has really left a bad taste in my mouth for Nature Vision. Marcums also went up in price once they were taken over.

MARCUM 2 LX-3's 2 LX-5's, I have field tested them all(except the Humminbirds, but I will be when we get ice).
