I have heard from different people that the ice varies greatly in thickness at Collingwood...and that only the "rocket scientists" seemed to be driving on??

The ice varies greatly on that lake every year.  I've ice fished it many times in places when the lake is still open water in other places on the lake.

I try to never fish over 30 32 feet.   The 29.25 came from 15ft.  The 30" from last weekend came from 18.5..

I took the quad out at Collingwood on Sunday. Drove all over and out to over 40 feet of water.  Around 12 to 14 inches everywhere I drilled. I may not be a rocket scientist but I think that makes it safe to drive on.
Always check and be on the safe side. Stay safe and good fishing.

Met my daughter from Saskatoon at Last Mountain Lake today. Parked her car at the Regina Beach Turnoff by #11.
Came back at 5pm to find her window broken and her suitcase from the trunk gone. And two pairs of prescription glasses from the front seat. **censored**???

Sad to hear. Low life scum types are everywhere. Have seen cars parked there many times, I'm assuming from commuters.

Sorry to hear that ProV1X, definitely dont expect that on the side of a busy highway in broad daylight! Hopefully anything of value is recovered and your daughter is still able to enjoy the Christmas season.

The Regional at the north end has 15 inches of good hard ice if anyone is looking for safe driving spots.
Old fishermen never die, they just smell that way.

Does anyone know how thick the ice is at Alice Beach? Can I pull my shack (old camper) on yet?
When I'm done drillin' - all that's left is an 8 inch wide, moist, dark hole that smells fishy......

I was out at Triple T about 10 days ago and guys are driving on there and out onto the main lake about 150 yards or so - I didn't see anyone driving across the lake in that area.   Unfort. Fishing was very slow.  I am wondering if anyone knows if people are driving on at Etters yet?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

We were out on Boxing Day between Alice/Wee Too and Grandview. Ice was 12-14" where we fished, but there were zero vehicle tracks out there. Saw quads and sleds on the ice but no vehicles. The area we drilled at is all consistent depth, and didn't drill off of any points or royal shoals to test how much less ice was there. Fishing was decent to good all day with around 30 'ish walleye, a couple of whitefish, a nice burbot, and a pike. All in all , a great day on the hardwater!

Any ice thickness or fish reports from the Pelican Pointe area or south end of the lake?  Heading out tomorrow but only keep hearing reports from the north end.

Thanks everyone.

I was out at Pelican Pointe last weekend. There is pressure ridge along the sand bar. The pressure ridge I cannot be crossed. You have to go around it. 10.5 inches of ice near it.

Ice at 14" -15" all around the Regina Beach peer and out a few hundred feet.  Lots of shacks of various shapes and sizes.  At least a dozen vehicles on the ice at ~1:00pm today.

Ice heave near Solomon's.

spent a few hours at the permy around little Arm bay yesterday with a few buddies. fishing was slow with only a few small perch making it topside in 20 FOW. consistent marks on the flashers throughout the day though, just seemed to be tight lipped. Ice is 16" and access is decent at the beach. Could see a large heave 300 hundred yards or so north of us towards pelican running east/west.
