Heard Kirwin HAD decent ice in the coves but main lake was still open. No info on Sebelius... Waiting to hear about Kirwins ice conditions after this deep freeze on Sat. A lot is going to happen then.

Any other updates for KS? Thinking might be able to get into some of the coves this weekend...could be wrong though. Im in Manhattan and many small ponds were locked.

The thickest I saw was 3.5 west of causeway. I did punch holes on North brushpile on Sat and it was 2.5.

I will just give a good educated guess and say that there is no good ice in Kansas. Four to five days of cold and four to five of bikini weather ruined all of ice. What's left wouldn't hold a goose up.

We were on the ice Friday on Kirwin. It was deteriorating fast on the north brushpile rapidly with a pressure ridge parralel to the bank you had to cross. We fished till around 2 pm and decided we had prob worn out our welcome. I talked to 2 friends that fished the south side Sat morning. They only caught  a couple and ice went to unsafe
gettin the crapps
