she made a lot of ice last night ... the wind might come in handy by blowing the snow off ...

I use to agree.  Then I left for a larger lake and will struggle to return.

South Basin looks like it froze but it just froze   .... the fire dept is making a rescue on Echo Bay right now .... give it some time or bring a life jacket and prepare to swim .

What about spud spud spud? Floating suit, ice picks, safety first?

I start from 2" black ice.  I am sure it's more already

my thoughts exactly. It’s too quiet. That wasn’t the only spot either. I’m curious to the measurement of ice people got. I have my thoughts but I’ll keep them quiet. Don’t need people running out on a hypothetical when I haven’t measured it myself. I’m 4 hours away and am looking to make a trip.

3.5 hours for me to the village and 4.5 to where I like to fish, believe I'll be making a trip up next weekend unless I hear reports saying otherwise but gotta believe -10 tomorrow night and almost no wind should help a ton for anywhere still open water

at that temp and the ones after, it will take no time at all. Especially being bare.

North End is steaming like crazy but still just enough water movement keeping it open so far.

Looks like the Algonquin camera doesn't allow just one person to control it so multiple people are moving it around. If anyone was just on it I apologize for messing with you  ;D
Goin' where the wind don't blow so strange,
Maybe off on some high cold mountain chain.

I hear ya there. Past few years I usually can find at least a little more information but thats typically a little later in the season when there's a few more options. Guess I'll just have to take a ride up and find out. Worst case I end up at shroon or checking out lakes I havny fished before

Most ice fisherman on this site that fish lake goerge are tight wad posers. You can fish lake george in some of the bays. If you are 4 hrs away, yes there is ice and plenty of fish in lake george for all.
