i drove by Harris on my lunch hour today and saw more than a half dozen trucks parked there with people way out on the ice. It should be good for the next 3 days, but after Sunday it looks like all bets are off.

Talked to my friend that lives on assembly point today and he confirmed the ice is solid on the bay and people are fishing, planning on getting out there on Saturday and Sunday. Not sure about access on off 9L, but I'd guess it's fine.

ya i saw a guy out this mornig but if it was me i would stay off not a lot of ice and its melted and refroze so many times now im not sure the integrity of the ice i all that great. just my opion

Anyone laker fishing tomorrow? I'd like to get out and chase some at least once this year (fishing 15 FOW on Otsego isn't laker fishing IMO). How deep can you get safely right now?

Going out of MDB I had 50-70ft but the bite was slow, only marked a few, hooked one and lost it. I caught a limit of perch in the morning in shallow so maybe I missed the active Laker bite?

Good day out went off mdb 3 of us limit of perch in a few hours ice was loud this morning walked a ways to find them

We had a great 2 days . Good 6 " about 4 miles out from million dollar beach. The afternoon can be tricky at the shore. We saw one four wheeler out by us . We where out 2 miles in 100 ' Found willing fish in 80 and 90 " Friday we had 2 the where 28"

Most fish this morning where in the low 20" range Only fished 3 hrs this morning . Non stop action. Yesterday was very slow. I know the ice will not last the week. Up north around Schroon have at least 12 to 16" of good ice. Good luck until next year. I am ready for spring.

What a way to end the season!

Spent both days on the ice this weekend ..... which by the way was 6 inches or so of rock solid ice with about 2 inches of newly formed clear ice on the bottom .... and despite a slow bite still managed some fish.

Sunday morning around sunrise i looked out and saw a flag up

..... there was no wind so i was cautiously optimistic and when i walked up and saw the spool spinning at high speed i knew it might be a good sign

After retrieving about 2/3 of the line on my tipup we got a flash under the hole and knew it was a salmon .... after a few tense minutes i managed to get it int he hole head first and it basically jumped out on the ice. After that it didn't matter that i marked a grand total of one lake trout by 8:30.

My friend had his go pro on ... hopefully the video will be a good one!

I lost a shanty last week. wind blew it up the lake into some bad ice and I just couldn't leave my kids to go get it. I left it for gone....

Much appreciated Lance, you guys are fishing machines! Im pretty sure I didnt see anyone eat anything in 2 days LMAO! Someone wrote "muddy rock sucker" on my window I damn near puked laughing...
