Fished in the rain today on North Basin could only get out to 40 fow due to a crack i didnt dare cross. I am totally disappointed in myself after lossing what im guessing was a 5-6 salmon at the hole. Had it to the hole multiple times before the leader got wrapped around a finger when he took off and the leader snapped!!! So upsetting... I did get one 23" laker on jig stick and one a little smaller on tip up set right under ice. Huuuge schools of smelt going by all day. Now for the worst news, i think the ice will be done after Thursday. There was an inch of water on ice when i left at 2:30pm.

Did well wed. Fished 7am-12 , ice was 4-6 in and a little slushy on top. The perch bite was good to us. Was able to try out the my new eskimo evo 2 . MDB was a good choice for ice conditions.

yeah well over 300 for the group, heck im at 138 right now, might have one more trip left, maybe your spot you showed us from first ice.

Heck! One more good day and I will be over 100. We have 200+ just between us. The short seasons always produce higher daily counts. Average size was up too, but no monsrers. $:-\$

The 17 I managed to nail thus far in one trip is seeming rather insignificant right about now....maybe that changes Saturday? Time will tell...

I saw about a dozen people on MDB yesterday and the conditions have only gotten better since then. Didn't see anyone on Harris yesterday.
