Iv pretty much written lg off at this point, there is not really any arctic air in the long range forecast,I know things could change

12 hours of no wind.  That's all we needed.... sigh.  Long term forecast looks real bad.  Hope you can get out Mon/Tues.
I love clipboard man

What's there to catch in huddle bay? Mostly Perch? I usually set up on the east side of the lake but it doesn't look like my spot is going to freeze... anytime soon.

Think Harris area will be ready by the weekend?  I've been fishing other lakes but I'm dying to get on the King.  I won't chance it though.  I Have a spud bar and suit that floats but still, there is no fish worth swimming for this time of year to me.

Indeed that is my location but I have never tried Huddle bay before and was wondering what species people usually target there.  I am guessing perch.

harris barely has any ice and I'm sure the wind is breaking up the little ice that was there.warm temps no arctic air around don't think you'll be walking on the king this year

Yea... game over for LG this year. Overnight lows barely below freezing most of the next 2 weeks. I'm just waiting for the first warm up so I can get out on open water.

Think positive / it ain't over til it's over!

And then it's striper time  @)
Goin' where the wind don't blow so strange,
Maybe off on some high cold mountain chain.

My weather person just doubled down her forecast, listen to this sweet sweet music

Quote
the third and forth weeks of February look to be very cold. This is because High pressure over the North Pole has almost completely displaced the cold air over the Pole
-from Rebeccas Northeast Weather Facebook page

In 2006, my laker waters didn't freeze till the first week of march, and it was one of the best years (2 weeks) of jigging lakers I've had.

I will be waiting with auger in hand  ;D

One week straight of nights in the single digits and no wind and we'll be over the deep water.  Fingers crossed!

I think your asking for a lot.
