Hate to be a killjoy, but don't get your hopes up about Lake George. As cold as its supposed to be, they are also calling for 15-20mph winds. Ain't nothing gonna freeze with that kinda wind. Just Sayin................. .....

why you got to be so negative.... just drove by and duhnams and harris had ice NOT FISHABLE but there was ice. with those temps we may be able to build a little more if we have a nice south wind.

Gull Bay (Inner Bay) was just icing over at 10:00am. Outside of that, it's wide open as far as I could see.

Lake was "steaming" pretty good in the South end tonight, wind out of the North is the problem. Forecast shows the wind getting light and shifting to a South wind in the early morning hours, might give it a chance to set up some. We'll see in the morning.

Too dark on my way to work to really tell the extent of the ice but Huddle looked to be completely locked up and Vets looked to be holding ice out to the north tip of Crown. Wish we had a couple more nights like last night lined up for this week because she wants to set up. It's going to be a long day at work watching the waves ruin this little skim across the lake. Hopefully it won't be long!

Looks like we'll be jigging for lakers and perch soon.  There's regular icefishing which is nice and all, and then there's icefishing on the KING which is something special

OK, so here's the scoop. Drove the entire Lake from Hague to MDB. Nothing worth mentioning is frozen north of Bolton Landing. Maybe some of the narrows, but you cant get there. Sawmill bay/Vets park is only frozen out a little ways, not even to the end of Green Island. Huddle is open except for the very south end south of Leontine Island. Basin Bay is open. Southern Basin is frozen from MDB to about Tea island on west side and almost to Paulist Fathers on east side, but looks sketchy. From there North is open. Dunhams Bay is frozen out to the mouth of the bay. Haris Bay is the best news, its locked up all the way out off Assembly point about 2/3 of the length of Long Island and about 150 yds off end of Rockhurst. Warner and Katskill Bay are frozen at least to the end of Cleverdale.
Don't know about Hens and Chickens, but I would guess its frozen, that usually locks up early.
Hope this satisfies some appetites!!!

Wouldn't be surprised to find a couple crazies fishing Harris or MDB today!  Weather report looks promising, single digits next 2 nights, a 1 day warm up, then sub zero again tuesday night.
