gitthegaff you are spot on. It's comical how there are so few slot limits in NY compared to most states and how much the fishing sucks here compared to most states lol! People just don't get it over here.

So on the thought of reg changes for LG , what do you attribute a need for a change ?
To many shorts , to many harvested or just not enough trophies ?
Honestly I think the current regs are working fine since the last change put in place. I have yet to catch a short on LG this year but then again I only catch a few.
On a side note and I know it's a completely different fishery, I'd like to see schroon lake adopt the regs that are in place on LG. I catch lots of smallish but legal lakers on schroon lake and would like to see a bigger class fish there.

Kinda like how the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Its amazing, I never hear people complaining about catching too many fish when I'm on the ice....

True , exactly my point Red. Maybe if they were to close fishing in the dome island area again it might make some better trophies , but then You would hear how that's a bad idea.

I don't think anyone really knows the ifs and whys to make changes. I guess it's just fun to BS about.

Yeah mdb sucks for eyes but I did get a nice musky there last season.

Also a few lakers last week. All the sleds on the ice seem to make it a tough bite though.
