Doea Skilac freeze over? Looks like a great variety of fish anyone have any feedback?

I hear it's sketchy at best when it does freeze over. I'll be checking it as well as tustemena.

It does but you have to use EXTREME caution.  I've had some very dangerous encounters with that lake.  I'm hoping to get out there at some point this winter but it's going to be a while before its iced over, if it does.  BE CAREFUL

Yeah I'm not sure skilak froze over safe enough the last couple of years.
But if it does the fishing can be good.
Many people fish close to the ice edge where the river comes out.
Just use caution on all the big lakes.
I almost ended up in Tustumena with my snowmachine a few years back.
It was close and I'd likely still be there if I hadn't got lucky.
