I am finally getting out again tomorrow (Saturday).  Myself and Viktor's travleing ice show are heading to Flathorn in the morning to see if we can get into some Northerns.

Hey Big Mick,

Yep, I am still riding the Honda.  We were thinking about heading out to Figure 8 but the trail was really rough and Chef was riding the freight sled.  A longer trip would have rattled him apart.

Flathorn was the slowest I had ever seen it.  We only had 6 flags all day and caught 5.  Did you do any good on Figure 8?

  Hey, Common Man I'm sorry my dad and I couldn't make it.  Sorry to here the fishing was poor.  Did you guys get the shanty out there OK?  We are probably going to Flathorn or Figure 8 this weekend, maybe you could come along.

P.S. Did you get any strikes with the beatle spins?

  We did pretty good. We brought home 19 but no monsters!
 and you know the way I fish thats exceptional!!!!! LOL

Hi Corey16.

Yes, Chef caught a decent one on my green beatle spin.  He was pretty stoked because it was the first time he caught one jigging.  We didn't get the shanty out...it's still sitting in my yard.  I don't know, maybe we should shoot for next year?  I wouldn't mind getting out again this weekend.  Keep in touch.

would it be easier to get to figure 8 lake on 4 wheelers or snowmachines. And what is this beatle spin

It would probably be easier on a snowmobile.  I only use a four wheeler because that's all I have.  You can stay warmer and go faster on the snowmachine. 

A beatle spin is sort of like a mister twister.  It's a rubber jig with a lead head and it has a spinner attachment.
