What is required for atv on Green Bay
« on: Jan 17, 2017, 08:34 PM »
Hey all, I'm coming over from Ohio on Monday to fish in Green Bay. I'm having a tough time finding the information I need as to whether or not I need a trail pass to navigate an atv  on Green Bay or sturgeon bay. In ohio, Lake Erie is covered under the army corps of engineers so an atv tag is not required, on the lake.  But any state  land in between the vehicle and water does require tags. I have an actual hard license plate on my quad for Ohio. Also while on the subject, are there helmet requirements.  I know that I will not be in the flotation requirement county, but I'm unsure of the above regulations. Thanks for your help

Tomorrow during business hours go to dnr.wi.gov.  They have live chat or a phone number you can call, they are pretty helpful and should be able to fill you in.
I'm a man, but I can change, If I have to, I guess.

All you need is a non resident atv trail pass. There is one available for 5 days for $20. You can do it online.
