artificial baits

has any one tryed using any other kind of bait on tip ups than live bait?

I've heard of people using Berkley gulp and other similar brands but live bait is definitely the way to go other than sucker meat for browns or dead bait for pike
Some people say that if you've caught one fish you've caught them all. I say that if you've caught one fish, you want to catch them all!

yeah i stopped and picked up grubs and a dz perch bait is 1.96 i was like yeah never mind that vs. 22$ for one can of gulp, and i can trap on the lake that im close to and use that also!
