I went blue gill fishing the other day. I decide to put 3 jigs on a line. Seemed like i got alot more bites and got multiple fish on at a time.
-
I use two different jigs colors and style until I catch fish on one, then I use two of the same kind works well :)

That sounds cool -- how are you rigging mulitple jigs on the same line. I fish for bluegills often with a aquaview -- they are by far my most favorite pan fish. How close are the jigs together?
-
ive used 2 jigs for gills before never got doubles but caught a equal number on each jig used 2 jigs for perch before and get doubles all the time
-
i Put the jigs 5-10 inches apart. For the first jig i just take alot of line out and tie it on.

Here in NY State you can only have two seperate hooks on a line (per pole). I always fish with the two;
It allows you to offer more combinations and present a variety of options. This helps to figure out what meal looks good to the fish on any given day.
Allows a second chance at a fish, or their nearby friend, if the first hook gets "robbed".
And a double header is more than twice the fun!!!

POTP,I had the same question earlier in the season,Fulltimedad turned me on to the dropper knot.If you search google for dropper knot you will get directions.I used it icefishing and liked it.It is a little tricky at first learning to ty it but works good.After you ty it, you put the loop thru the eye and then put the lure/hook thru the loop.I have been spacing them 6-12 in.apart.Also not recommended for big fish but fine for panfish.

Hmmm. I've never tried it but it might work alright. But if you're getting big ones you might not want that other jig in the way...
Good idea though I might have to try it.
