http://www.iceshanty.com/ice_fishing/index.php?topic=72693.0I continued going to this lake once a week since the beginning of January, We scoured the whole east side of the lake and were eventually rewarded with two successful trips in a row. We had 8-70 mile round Trips to this lake at night this year, not counting the day Trips. 6 of these trips were the big skunkage and 2 good trips made up for it. In 32 FOW about 15 feet down we found the school wandering around.
Slip Bobbers and the smallest active minner in the bucket. Every 20 minutes we'd catch 3-4 then wait again. We had a lot of bites with quite a few misses, and only one under 11". I even managed a couple jigging with some plastics and no bait.
We got there an hour before dark, set up and started catching right away.I look over and the only other 2 vehicles on the lake are leaving we had the lake to ourselves the whole night.
80* in the shack and 10* outside, sipping on some brew with the radio going. Good Times had by all.
On a side note the third picture is of me (left) my fishing partner(right). We compete in the NAIFC tournament series. We placed 24th at the Wisconsin Qualifier 9 short of the cut off for the Championship. Next year its a sure thing.
