New to ice fishing
« on: Nov 30, 2023, 05:33 PM »
Hey. I've been fly fishing all my life but this year I decided to pull the trigger on some ice fishing equipment. I'm super excited to get into some pike and perch, any general recommendations close-ish to missoula would be really cool. Glad to be here.

PerchPounder listed the ideals, but Nevada can produce some nice perch too.
While they ain't big, you can usually catch a ton of perch in Beavertail.

Good luck!

I live in MT, so when I ain't huntin, I'm fishin!
Boy the way Glenn Miller played
Songs that made the hit parade.
Guys like us we had it made,
Those were the days.

And you knew who you were then,
Girls were girls and men were men,
Mister we could use a man
Like Herbert Hoover again.

Didn't need no welfare state,
Everybody pulled his weight.
Gee our old LaSalle ran great.
Those were the days
