Tecumseh 8900B Carburater Removel
« on: Oct 25, 2019, 11:44 AM »
Hello everyone im having some issues.
So I have an Eskimo Barracuda with the Tecumseh TMO49XA-3607B Model:8900B
Serial: 16233
It runs good but last year started to bog down some at time so I decided to remove the carburater and clean it. Possibly get a rebuild kit.
So I got the carburater lose and its ready to come off but I cant slide it off the studs do to the air vane. Im not sure if the studs come out in order to slide the carburater down and off with the air vane attached or if I need to remove the air vane before I can take the carb off.
Has anyine owned/worked on one of these or similar auger heads before? I didnt think it would be this tuff to remove a carburater and really dont wanna take it to a small engines shop. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance everyone.

if you remove the two bolts on the spacer right under carb then whole thing comes out
