Jiffy Ripper Blade

Hi All,

At the end of last season I won a 3hp 10" Jiffy Legend with standard auger from a raffle ticket I purchased (first time I've ever won anything!)

Prior to winning the auger, I was considering the same Jiffy with the ripper blade(s). I would like to replace the standard blade with the ripper blade(s). However I'm unsure if this could or should be done.

There are pre-drilled holes in the standard auger that appear to be for the addition of the ripper blade(s). I'm looking for any advise on this one.

Has anyone updated from a standard Jiffy blade to the ripper blade(s) on their auger? Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Yes the ripper blades work with all 30 and 70 series Jiffy Augers.  For more information see their website @ www.jiffyonice.com.

If it were me, I would use the auger "as is".  Later, if you find yourself having to push on the auger to cut the hole.............get the ripper blades.  I have them on my Jiffy Legend Model 31 and they work great.
