Fremont slu or mahwee east of north platte

Has any one been out there yet or over by it to see how the ice is looking would like to get on it soon

Fished willow island yesterday in Brady had 4.5 to 5 in of ice caught a little of everything just no size one descent crappi. Fire lake had a good 6 in. Not sure what mawee looks like

Thanks would love to get on some the crappie out there but know it's a tough lake to get on might check it out tomorrow

Still open water there as I just drove by.  That lake must have a few warm water creeks and springs in it.  I have seen open water in -20 degrees weather there.  Very frustrating!

Maui....  East of North Platte....  Never ice fished it.. Looks like the state has been doing some work out there.. Clearing trees and rubbish.. Could be a nice lake with some work and if people would take their trash home with them.... >:(

I was able to walk out on the lake yesterday pm stil some open water in two spots of about 25 square feet each.  Ice was 31/2 inches in all the spots I tried.  Did not fish just wanted to test the ice so still sketchy is my report.
