Brown Town

It's been 2 years in the making but after a lot of effort I finally found one. It may not be the wall hanger that I was so hoping for but you gotta start somewhere. It was a great day on the ice started out zero dark thirty and drove my auger into the sand. Man first time doing that, glad I brought another set. After fiddling with the headlamp I get them on and try it again, they wont cut so I take a look and put them on backwards. It was early all I can say. I was planning on jigging since I never do, set up the flasher and it wont turn on, check the batteries and they have been stolen, the kids.. Thats alright I have a new pack of 4, ohh man it takes 6. Not my day, but without the jig stick I wouldn't have landed any fish. No flags on traps fished till 2.  ohh yeah and my lucky lure the one I caught the fish with went down the drink never to return.

Rough day! But a fish is a fish man. And not a bad one on a jig rod. Good recovery I'd say.

Tough day.  If I was fishing solo I probably would have thrown in the towel, sat back in in a recliner, and read for the rest of the day.
