Winter wading

Well, haven't really been able to get out to the good fishing grounds yet on the ice, so a buddy and I put on the waders and busted out the long rods last weekend and hit up a dam.  Can't complain about the March-like weather in February when you haul in these tasties in an hour's time!

Got it as a christmas gift.  I like it so far.  Wish the cutting area was just a bit bigger, would be easier for two guys to clean.  I might take an old cutting board and shape it to the sink so I can work another guy on there with more room.

It is February, right??  High of 40 again today.  Waders are in the truck, just might have to get a few casts in after work.  This time with flies!

Only four fish out of three guys wednesday in some more nice 40* February weather.  Walleyes just weren't having it but the pout were up there thick spawning!  This weekend we might finally get out on the ice after the walleyes but may end up trolling for browns out on Michigan if the wind is right.  Is my calendar right?  It is February, isn't it??
