Finally made it on the hardwater for the first time this AM,ever notice when a season starts work picks up too? Anyways ended up with 6 today and one was a stud! All on the jig rod what a blast.Not sure if the tape will show in the pic but one was every bit of 20".

NICE FISH! I got a 18" brookie the other day that pulled about 50' of line off my tipup. What were you using for bait to catch these if u dont mind me asking? I havent been able to get any trout by jigging, only with meal worms on the tipup.

yea he was dinner, I dont ever keep trout I always release them and bring the crappie home for dinner but he got a little agressive and took the jig in the gills so it was his choice. I filleted him up and then breaded it and fried it actually never done that before but it was really good.

many of the brookies caught are put in this fall. most leftover breeders i suspect.
