We were icefishing up on Lake of the woods. We were running around on snowmobiles. We were on a lake trout spot and saw a guy in a four wheeler pulling a big boxy trailer. He backed it into a spot in between the boulders on shore at the base of a cliff. He unhooked and sped away.

They had it painted such that after he had gone it was perfectly camoflaged. It disapeared into the background. If we hadn't seen him we never would have known it was there. I am not sure if he saw us or maybe he knew our group and wasn't worried.

If you were speeding by on a sled you wouldn't even have noticed it.

We stayed a bit and after a while he came back and unfolded the contraption. It held a mobile kitchen with a gas grill and all the gear needed to feed an army.

After a while several small groups snomobiled up. when all was said and done they had about 20 sleds and maybe 25 people for shore lunch.

It was one of the neatest things I have seen. Gourmet chow at -10°F.

an aluminum dutch oven only weighs about 10 lbs.  if you do the family thing good food has to be part of the day!  charcoal weighs even less.

Wow bud I think I would gain weight if I fished with you. I must admit cooking outside during the ice season sure seems to add that extra ingredient to make the food tast ten times better. ;D ;D
