Anyone tried access off browns?

i have private access just up from browns and went out yesterday from 9 til 7pm. the ice was pretty decent getting out on. spudded out through and the ice was around 6 inches and pretty solid for the first 100 yds out. after that it was fine. ice was anywhere's from 7 to 9 inches. caught 15 perch and two short eye's.

Do you guys think the fishing is rebounding in general on Saratoga lake?   I keep hearing the chem treatment of weeds has stopped although last summer I cant say the weed growth was all that amazing

That is correct and about time.       Last year was a joke with hundreds of people lining the creek.  Had a talk with a guy who had a triple limit.    Had a 4 and 5 year old with him Saying that they caught thier limits to.     I hope it gets I forced.
There is a big part of the problem, teaching the next generation how to be slobs!

Only way to prove that he caught the fish would be to have the 4 and 5 year old cast a rod to see if they could use it... if they can unfortunately he is within the regs and theres nothing they can really do about it... but its really no different than having 3 friends fish for eyes through the ice and one guy catches 7 and the other guys each catch 4 they still have their limit.... what they should do is drop the limit down to 3 like oneida

Browns should be fine for walking... Fitch is ok to get on but giant open water spot almost all the way across the lake from outflow from kayadeross.  Some of that open spot may have froze last night so anything without snow on it is a no go.  Pretty much have to hug the eastern bank off fitch or stay shallower.

after the warm up that ridge resided it wasn't there last weekend ice was good 7 inches and it was cold this week so it should have only added to what we already had off of Browns beach

Didn't see anybody else out on the north end yesterday. Had 5-7" in all the holes I drilled. At least 12" of snow on top. Slowest day I've had on toga this season. Hoping today is better.

It was dry on Monday but very slushy in spots now. Expect a good 2-3" of slush on top of the ice. Some places were worse than others but overall be prepared to get wet if you're going to try to head out.

If heading out from finch rd, be careful as you head out towards the middle. it looks like the lakes water level rose since Monday. I had made a snow fort to block the wind Monday and when I returned Tuesday, there was a thin ice layer that had formed all around the fort, looking like it was extending out towards where the open water hole in the middle of the lake is, and there was almost an 1.5" of water between the ice layers. I didn't continue heading out further to test it but I wanted to give everyone a heads up to be extra careful out there.

Browns beach has some spots where it's slushy and wet, mostly it's packed down hard snow. Ice is around 8 inches thick. Bite was ok

Does anyone know about how many inches are on Saratoga Lake. Also will the upcoming week end weather of 41° weather make the ice unsafe?

look up 3 posts.....  ???

Browns beach at the southern end of the lake.  Big gravel parking lot.  Good luck!
