I picked some up but have not had a chance to use it yet.
Will be using it mostly when fly fishing for pike.

Based on 25 years of experience with "superlines" I'd say if it is only Spectra/Kevlar based it is NOT a suitable pike leader. I'd rather use steel (1st) then FC or hard mono before that. Don't know what "Tuf-Line Leader material" might be but if it doesn't include metal expect it to cut easily.

Just my experience UMMV.................. .

On further review a quick mousing reveals this:

Tuf-Line Tuf-Leader

o   T-304 extruded stainless steel leader with Spectra fiber core
o   Resists damage from abrasion and eliminates common issues
o   Tri-component, 16-carrier braid construction with smooth exterior
o   Leader knots cleanly with standard knots that easily cinch down

When you need a strong, durable fishing line that won’t get chewed by toothy fish, cast with Tuf-Line’s Tuf-Leader. The advanced T-304 extruded stainless steel leader with Spectra fiber core resists damage from abrasion and eliminates common issues associated with steel leader materials. Tri-component, 16-carrier braid construction with super-smooth exterior allows you to knot the leader cleanly with standard knots rather than using traditional crimping methods. Knots cinch down with little effort and stay in place. Made in USA.

Not sure how they get the steel with the Spectra core, I'll guess it's the other way round; Spectra with a wire core.

That would make it similar to Tyger wire which begs this question: Why pay 10x more for the Spectra that actually cuts fairly easily just to get to the wire which is what provides the real protection and doesn't offer any less visibility than plain ol' wire? FYI, uncoated wire connects dirt easy with no crimps or special tolls at 100% reliability if you know what you're doing.

Just trying to understand...
To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!
