Although "they" sometimes toss in some bigger fishes, I don't get too excited about fishing a recently renovated lake for at least 5 years.  If I'm looking for MA fish, it's 7 years.
It's said that fish grow at a faster rate in "new waters", but it's also known that a fish reaching MA size is more likely to go home for a meal than to be left to enhance the fishery.  C&R Lakes for the first 5 years would be an exception.  Unless the lake has a high rate of poachers!
Even then, I'm betting on the lake.
