NY trip

I will be headed up to NY to the secret pike spot most likely before december.  If anyone is interested in a road trip contact me.  I have a scout up there that will be keeping an "eye" on the progress.

Sounds intresting. I'm chopin at the bit myself and our Ct ice never comes fast enough for me and my son.

I was looking for some of my posts from last year on here to link to the trip idea, but havnt found them.  Keep an eye out and Ill post info as I get it.  Trying to save a couple bucks in gas by heading up with a couple people.

You guys had a good trip last year as I recall.A bit of an adventure , but a good trip none the least. I'm hoping for Wood Creek. before Christmas. Won't take long if these temps stay.... We'll see.

lol, if your fishing it on the 4th, call me.  jon a is headed out today to check conditions up north.  The pike spot up  there is VERY similar to woodcreek in that it freezes long before any other bodies of water.  IM thinking 2 weeks and were on ice pullin pike.

well got a phone call that most ponds up that way are skimmed which means the special spot may make it through the week.  Another update coming wednesday, planning to leave saturday night just in case magic happens.

as far as it goes right now, leaving sunday night and god willing standing on ice all day monday.  Keeping my fingers crossed, Its COLLLLLDDDDDD up there right now.

I will be in after Thanksgiving... I have to reload up on some Pre Ice stuff!!!  ;) Oh, Blaine I finally got my Pike back from Joe at Northeast! Its Amazing!! He broke his hand half way through it so it only took a year and a half!  :o But it was well worth it! Thanx for the help- Tom

Who's this spy of yours?  ;)  Old username here, couldn't figure out how to update it.  Any of you die hard ct ice guys let me know if you want early season ice.  1.5" so far, off to check again tomorrow.

Oh boy oh boy, I WILL be on NY ice on monday.  Whether or not I'll be able to fish or not, time will tell.  I betcha we'll see some fish floppin through some holes.

yeah, central daks, the land surrounding the pond is perfect for making ice while other bodies have nothing.  Most wouldnt even bother fishing it.     ;)
