Floatation jacket

Has anyone used a Mustang floatation jacket  Instead of one of one of the floatation assist lce coats? My thoughts being l could wear the coat  fishing from my boat as it is Coast Guard approved,and wear it on the ice also.

   Stearns made some back in the day I got one  here  hanging in the closet  Bulky but  safety first always
