24-25lbs i think, 42".  the same fish had been caught by some kids a few weeks prior, they let it go not knowing what they had.

The IGFA recognizes the world record burbot as caught on Lake Diefenbaker, Canada by Sean Konrad on March 27, 2010. The fish weighed 25 pounds 2 ounces (11.4 kg).

correct me if i'm wrong, but that sure looks like the guy that caught the world record rainbow at dief a couple years ago. Could anyone be that lucky?

It was his twin brother Adam who caught the World Record Rainbow on a 4 inch lure with 6 lb test line on the same Lake which was Lake Diefienbaker in Saskatchewan Canada.
